What is Keratin Bonded | Fusion Hair Extensions
Keratin Bonded extensions give our clients the option of free-flowing hair and require little to no maintenance.
This is a protein-on-protein bond. In this case, Remy hair is dipped in synthetic keratin. During the application, the fusion wand gently warms the bond and the keratin is formed around the natural hair.
Who is this method for?
I like to say that this method of hair extensions can be for everyone, but then again it depends on the artist and the ability to cut and form bonds. I like to use keratin bonds as a way of adding highlights or lowlights. It's also a great way to fill in the sides or fix a bad hair cut.
How long does this method last?
4-5 months. I was taught 5-6 months but my experience working with fusion hair extensions has proven different.
How many strands do I use for a full head of fusion keratin hair extensions?
On average, 150 individual strands. This includes the pieces that I have cut into 2.
How many stands do I use for just volume?
